Good Brothers & Sisters Thanksgiving Marathon Tournament

GOOD BROTHERS BOWLING
‎5 GAME HANDICAP MARATHON RESULTS

But first (yes, this is a teaser), the Goodbrothers, during Thanksgiving, have a number of people they need to be thankful to...

1. The Bowler. Thanks to your VERY nice support for the tournament, we were able to pay out 1:4 with everyone who cashed making more than their entry fee. And we were able to give out the $2,100 guaranteed top 3 spots without going to the ATM machine.

2. The UBA. A nice shout out to International Flavors, New Jersey Devils, New York Bombers, and S.W.A.T. for representing their squads during the tournament. Also, a shout out to the UBA for allowing us to advertise on their website.

3. The Wallet. If you're an action bowler, you were a happy camper last night. We gave out almost $5,000 worth of cold hard cash, and if you went into everything (and won everything), you would have walked out of there with $2,255.

4. Last but certainly, not least, Lodi Lanes. Thanks to the house for helping us run a smooth and well-run tournament that allowed us to finish on time as advertised and get back home before the sun came up.

NOW...

King of the Hill
3/31/2012

Picture
Joe Seiple makes his first appearance into the finals, but he falls to current King Young Gunner, who still has the title. How long can he hold it? Then by popular demand, we had Gordon Pepper's Survivor afterwards, where Guzman completes the daily double and defeats Omar Espinal in a fun event that featured 3 bowlers staying alive for 5 frames with 5 baggers and 6 additional frames between the final 2 to determine the winner. We are NOT meeting up Easter Sunday weekend, but we WILL be bowling the week after, with Survivor to be played between the King of the Hill qualifier and playoffs. We will see you on April 14th at 7pm. No fooling.

Special shout out this week to the Silent Killers for attending this week's King of the Hill. As for the playoffs, Gordon 'Bracketologist' Pepper comes all the way from the last qualifier spot to the finals, where he meets Queen Tasia 'Taya' Holdman. Tasia needs the first two strikes in the tenth to retain her title but she leaves a stone cold 10 pin, giving the Bracketologist the title. Someone check his ball for Performance Enhancing Drugs. We do this all again next week, March 17th, at 7pm.

RESULTS:
1, KING Bracketologist (GB)
2. Taya (GB)

Picture
J-Hood
In one of the most exciting and memorable finals this year, we go to a tie-breaking two frame rolloff, where J Hood strikes out in the 2nd frame to beat Pat Powell and become the NEW King of the Hill. What makes this kore impressive is that J Hood bowled the 40 framer earlier on in the day and then had to go up from the lowest rung of the ladder to win, essentially bowling 10 games in the same day. Nice going!

RESULTS
1. J Hood (GB)
